This All Sky Camera housing is IP66 rated and measures 120 x 120 x 90mm in size. It comes supplied with a malleable rubbber gasket that presses into the lid to create the seal against ingress of dust and liquids, along with four threaded M4 bolts that screw into captive nuts in the main body.
Designed for the ever popular ASI series of non-cooled cameras, a Raspberry Pi will also fit in the housing to allow for fully remote/automated imaging.
The lid of the housing can be CNC cut and rebated ready for our 2.9" optical dome, camera holder and dew heater if required. Please see the options drop down list.
Option #1 - None
Only the bare waterproof housing is included.
Option#2 - Housing + 52mm hole
As per option 1, but the lid has a CNC cut hole suitable for the ASI uncooled cameras.
Option#3 - Housing + 52mm hole & Rebate for 2.9" Dome
As per option 2, but the lid also has a recess milled suitable for the 2.9" dome.
Option #4 - As above + ASI holder, heater and 2.9" dome supplied
As per option 3, but also comes with ASI camera holder, ring heater to keep dome dew free and a 2.9" dome. All components supplied loose, so it's up to you to glue everything in place. No cables supplied.
Option #5 - Complete, ready to go build
Just fit your camera, connect the USB cable and start imaging. Comes as standard with a 5m USB cable and 5m 12v power cable with cigarette plug for the dew heater. This option is built to order and takes 2 to 3 days before shipping.

"I ground tested the sky camera attaching the enclosure to the detachable plate using industrial automotive black silicone rubber. The plate slides onto the clamp attached to the pole. I added black silicone rubber stoppers where the top part of the case is screwed to the enclosure. Ground testing allowed me to check that the case is waterproof and also allowed me to fine tune the focusing of the lens. Camera is ZWO ASI178MC. Tim came up with a brilliant idea to recess the lid of enclosure so that the dome fits snug . This also allowed an excellent waterproof seal. We have had some horrendous rain storms in the UK and the enclosure stood up to it all. The dew heater is brilliant as it certainly keeps the dome clear. About a week ago we had a frost and the cars was covered with it. The dew heater demolished the frost. I emailed Tim, as i required a longer power cable than the original one supplied for the dew heater. It was time to install on the roof. See photographs It has been up there for a couple of months now with no issues what so ever. I highly recommend DewControl and Tim for an excellent product and accessories. Tim is extremely helpful and nothing is too much for him. Tim is very knowledgeable and understand your requirements . Thank you very much for excellent customer care.
